We are currently updating our Quick Play, Doomed Soul, with some improvements. This includes updated translation to better match the final books, with revised text and terms. This demo also features new, original artwork to better tie with the experience of the complete game. A third, final version is expected to be published near the end of our crowdfunding campaign, currently scheduled to close on October 28th, with a few more additions.
There, you will learn the basics of how to create characters, set up scenes, build challenges, and add enemies to your stories. You will also gain a brief insight into the lore, exploring how the Nomads navigate multiple universes and timelines. Please note that this contains only a small portion of the game’s content, with simplified tables and rules; the final game offers many more options, gameplay examples, and customization features. With all possibilities combined, Nomads Unbound gives millions of viable combinations to your stories, making it virtually endless.
Did we say translation? Nomads Unbound is actually the 3rd edition of the game, created by Brazilian designer and filmmaker Marcelo Collar. The first version was released as Nomads in 2020, and with a successful crowdfunding campaign, it got its first printing run, which sold out quickly. A second campaign funded a revised and expanded second edition called Nomads: Primordial, with extended lore and more rules, launched in 2024. Nomads Unbound further expands this world, with even more ambitious ideas and game features, including new original artwork from artists like Heitor Aquino (The Legacy of Cthulhu) and Eisner Award Nominee Arabson Assis, and accessories like maps, character models, and 3d printable assets.
